Spring Break!

Ok here is the run down on my Spring Break! We were out of classes from March 2-11 (awesome 21st birthday gift!) so my great friend Lauren and I decided to make the most of our time and head to 4 different cities: Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Prague. What a crazy trip! I knew it was pretty safe to say that I would never be in 4 different European cities in 8 days so I tried to live it up as much as possible! We had so much fun!

We headed to Munich first. It was much more modernized than I thought it would be, but I loved it!

The very center of Munich.

We were lucky enough to meet up with the Rugels, the family my boyfriend stayed with last summer while studying in Munich. Their daughter, Agnes was kind enough to show us around the city for the weekend. Agnes was so kind!

Eating some grub at the Augustiner (forgive my German) bier haus!

The roof tops of Munich.

After staying in our hostel (which was great) for 2 nights, we took a train to Salzburg. And yes, the first thing we did when we got there was take the "Sound of Music" Tour since it was filmed in Salzburg! I know we're dorks, but literally it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. It brought back so many great memories of watching the film with my family and grandparents. Still my favorite movie of all time!

Look familiar?!

While in Salzburg we took a tour through the Festung Hohensalzburg, or Slazburg Castel. Gorgeous view!

Of course while we were in Salzburg we went to another Bier Haus. I don't like beer in the states but of course Austrian beer was fantastic! Salzburg was so quaint and definitely what I thought of as the classic Austrian town.

After another two nights we hopped aboard another train and whisked away to Vienna. It snowed for about a day while we were there and I loved it! The city was so beautiful in the snow. My favorite place visited in Vienna was the Belvedere Palace. It is a fabulously huge art gallery where I got to see Klimt's original "The Kiss." I was dying of happiness!

We got to meet up with a friend from school and she took us to an amazing 800 year old, underground restaurant. The food was so yummy (and the peach champagne wasn't too shabby either!)

The top of Vienna!

We finally made it to our last city on Friday morning. The first thing we did was climb to the top of the highest point in the city and snapped some photos.
The main square in Prague.

We were so happy that we finally got some sun!

This is the way I've described Prague to several people: if a director decided to film a fairy tale movie, Prague is the place to do it! I felt like I was in a fairy tale the whole time- the architecture and atmosphere of the city was very classy and most of the city is still stuck in the late 18th century. Love it!

We got to pray to the Infant Jesus of Prague!

Also stopped by the John Lennon wall!

Lauren and I absolutely loved our time traveling. It was one of the most memorable weeks of my life! But we were so happy to return to our lovely home (and hear Italian again!)

Home sweet home!
